LOCAL PAIR FEATURED IN HARVARD PSA FOR NATIONAL MENTORING MONTH
A Bay Area Mentoring program teenage participant and her mentor star in a nationwide television campaign sponsored by the Harvard School of Public Health to promote National Mentoring Month. The pair, Jennifer Ashford and Iliana Medina from Redwood City's Friends for Youth program, were selected for starring roles for the ReelPeople public service campaign that also features retired General and Secretary of State Colin Powell. The Harvard Mentoring Project selected Jennifer and Iliana because of the positive impression they made during a taped audition now available on
YouTube.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS TEAM UP WITH
BAY AREA MENTORING
The Golden State Warriors hosted Bay Area Mentoring mentors and mentees for a National Mentoring Month game on January 13, 2008. Adults and youth received a facility tour, watched the team warm-up from courtside, and then received a special visit from Thunder during halftime.
